Mac User Group Meetings
The Macintosh computer has seen over two decades of success with a high level of professionalism and efficiency that many have come to know and love. Since 1984 it has sold millions of models all across the world and has evolved under watchful eyes to become what it is today.
Ever since Macintosh appeared so did Mac user groups for people owning one of these devices, who were able to talk, ask, answer and share their experience regarding their Apple Inc. product. As the name of Macintosh achieved greater success throughout the late 80s, the 90s and the 2000s, more and more users united to discuss everything related to Mac.
Mac user groups are as wide-spread as the users themselves, with a total number of members ranging from 30 to 1000 and more. The purpose of these groups are for the users of Macintosh computers and the Macintosh operating system to find a way to discuss on everything related to their products, get information, share experience and offer advice.
MUGs are organizations in their own right and have their own way of functioning, settled by those who run the groups, leaders chosen in a democratic manner by every forming member. Mac user group meetings are very frequent and represent the main way for members to keep in touch.
MUG meetings often occur on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis, depending on where they are located and the number of members. There are many special events scheduled at the time of the meetings in which members are encouraged to attend, as well as other fun activities. The Mac user meetings occur either in the same location or in different locations every time, depending on the leadership and what the members decide.
MUG members participate in meetings for various reasons. First of all, these meetings are the primary way for them to interact and exchange experience. Meetings allow face to face discussion about important matters for Apple product users. Mac users meet a lot of new people, form friendships and make business contacts.
